This course will teach the students all the major equipment the is part of the Substation for all types and for different technology used regardless is in installed outside in the open as a Switchyard or all enclosed air or GIS -FS6 or other solid resin type.
The course is also focused on the Substation Grounding and major topology of the Substation that may be selected, with focus on the Medium Voltage Distribution Substation.
SCADA for Substations is also explained with highlights and examples from industry practice including the cutting age technology available for smart intelligent relays and bay controllers.
ARC FLASH Safety Operation, Procedures and required qualifications for related to Substations is also included.
The incumbent will have access to EASY POWER/ETAP License to complete the assignments.
